Feeding Britain: 5 Simple Ways to Make a Difference

Feeding Britain

As the cost of living crisis brings challenges to more this Christmas, Feeding Britain brings an opportunity for restaurants and other hospitality businesses to help.

We take a look at what Feeding Britain does and share 5 simple ideas you can introduce to help over the festive period.

What is Feeding Britain?

Feeding Britain is an award-winning charity with a vision of a UK where no one goes hungry. They support a national network of 60 regional anti-hunger partnerships comprising more than 600 local organisations – ranging from community centres and schools, to local authorities and social enterprises.

How hospitality businesses are supporting Feeding Britain

Frankie & Benny’s is an example of one hospitality business supporting Feeding Britain. They have launched their Christmas menu with a special pledge – for every Yuletide Stuffed Turkey dinner sold, Frankie & Benny’s will donate £1 to the charity, which equates to a festive meal for someone in need.

Sasha Storey, Frankie & Benny’s Head of Brand, said: “Frankie & Benny’s is a restaurant brand with families at its core, so it’s really important for us that we support other families in need at this time of year. The cost of living crisis will be hard for so many and we must remember to try to help others now and in the future as best we can.”

Andrew Forsey, National Director of Feeding Britain, said: “The generosity being shown by Frankie & Benny’s and their customers through this partnership with Feeding Britain makes a hugely significant difference to our work. With growing numbers of people relying on our help to put food on the table, this partnership is absolutely crucial to supporting our mission to tackle food poverty in the UK. We are enormously grateful.”

  • Donate £1 for every Christmas dinner you serve
  • Donate £1 for every table booking
  • Donate a set sum of money for each item on your festive menu
  • Have a donation bucket
  • Ask customers if they’d like to donate an additional £1 to those in need
